Russian forward Nikolai Komlichenko has commented on the rising prices in Russia. The footballer made his statement during an interview with a sports publication.
Discussing the increase in food prices, Komlichenko specifically highlighted the cost of Uzbek tomatoes. According to the footballer, he and his wife are very fond of Uzbek tomatoes. However, the footballer’s family cannot afford to buy tomatoes from the warm region by the kilogram or two. The athlete admitted that he feels guilty and cannot spend so much money on tomatoes.
It is worth noting that Uzbek tomatoes in Russia cost just over 1000 rubles per kilogram. For reference, Komlichenko plays for Rostov and earns about 766 thousand dollars a year.
We remind you that previously, Russians had asked Vladimir Putin to address the issue of the price of tomatoes from Uzbekistan.
