In Kashkadarya, a private company leader has been accused of embezzling budget funds.

In the Kashkadarya region, the head of a private company embezzled around one billion sums allocated from the budget for the repair of heating systems in schools, kindergartens, and hospitals, reports the Prosecutor General's Office.

The incident took place in the Kukdalin district. According to the investigation, the suspect, in collusion with others, forged documents confirming the completion of work on the repair of heating networks. However, it turned out that no work had been carried out.

As a result, the perpetrators stole 934.4 million sums and 79 tons of coal intended for heating social facilities.

A criminal case has been initiated against the suspects under Article 167 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (theft by appropriation or embezzlement).

The investigation is ongoing.
