On December 21 at 14:13, a fire broke out in a workshop for the production of solidol and lithol in the "Mustakillik" neighborhood on Kimyogar Street in Fergana. The regional emergency management office reported that firefighters arrived at the scene at 14:21, contained the fire by 14:24, and completely extinguished it by 14:32.
As a result of the fire, one person died at the scene. Currently, specialists are investigating the causes of the fire and assessing the damage incurred.
Earlier, we reported that as a result of an explosion at a gas station in Fergana on December 17, 2024, 13 people were injured. Six of them are still hospitalized. Four individuals lost their lives, and one of the injured was brought in dead and sent for forensic examination.
Media outlets also reported that the gas station where the explosion occurred belongs to family members of the chairman of the Customs Committee. As part of the investigation into the incident, five individuals have been detained.
