Following the gas explosion at a multi-fuel filling station in Fergana, which resulted in four fatalities, regional authorities have mandated inspections of all gas stations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
As reported by the press service of the regional hokimiyat, a working group has been established, comprising representatives from the "Uzdavneftgasinspektsiya," the regional emergency management department (GUChS), the "Hududgaz Fargona" branch, and other relevant organizations.
The group will assess filling stations, auto gas compressor stations, and gas filling stations for adherence to industrial, fire, and environmental safety standards. Additionally, the condition of fuel storage tanks and other facilities subject to legislative regulations will be evaluated.
It is noted that these inspections will not affect the financial operations of the stations, which will continue to function normally.
Furthermore, all filling station employees will be required to undergo training based on a program developed by the regional GUChS to enhance their qualifications in the area of safety.
