The study of the ancient manuscript will be conducted in collaboration with renowned historians. Additionally, a facsimile and a modern edition of the manuscript will be published. This was reported by the press service of the Center for Islamic Civilization.
Information about the ancient Uzbek-language manuscript, which tells the life story of Amir Timur, was presented by Professor Badriiddin Maksudov, a Doctor of Philological Sciences from Tajik National University, during the International Week of Cultural Heritage titled "The Phenomenon of the Eastern Renaissance: States, Religions, Personalities, and Civilizations."
According to him, the book titled "Manoqibi Amir Temur Sohibqiron" may be the oldest surviving Turkic manuscript about Timur. It is likely that it was created before many existing scientific, historical, and literary works about this historical figure, such as "Temur Tuzuki," "Zafarnama" by Nizomiddin Shami, as well as works by Mirkhond and Khondemir.
The book "Manoqibi Amir Temur Sohibqiron" describes Timur's birth, scenes of battles, and miracles attributed to the sheikhs, as well as containing historical data and numerous legends and myths popular among the people. This is evidenced by the fact that in the text, alongside Amir Timur, there are characters who did not live during his time.
At the end of the Dushanbe manuscript, there is a date corresponding to Rajab 1027 in the Hijri calendar, which corresponds to June-July 1618. It is presumed that the manuscript was copied by a scribe, indicating that the original may date back to an earlier time.
