Uzbekistan's pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 has been awarded a prestigious design prize.

The pavilion named "Garden of Knowledge," designed by Atelier Brückner, reflects Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage and its commitment to a sustainable future. It spans approximately 750 square meters and utilizes natural materials such as wood, clay, and brick, which are integral to Uzbek traditions.

The Uzbekistan Culture and Arts Development Foundation stated that the designers drew inspiration from the tumar—a traditional Uzbek amulet—when creating the design.

"The pavilion invites visitors to explore the transformation process of Uzbekistan and its pursuit of harmony between tradition and modernity," the statement reads.

The German Design Award sets international standards for innovative design developments in the global market. It is awarded exclusively to pioneering projects that meet the criteria for sustainable consumption and eco-friendly production. This is one of the prestigious international awards in the field of industrial design, held annually by the German Design Council.

It is noteworthy that the World Expo Osaka 2025 will take place from April 13 to October 13. It is expected to attract 28.2 million visitors. The theme of the expo is "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," featuring sections on "Saving Lives," "Empowering Lives," and "Connecting Lives."
