In Uzbekistan, a state duty has been established for licensing activities in the field of crypto assets, reports the Ministry of Justice.

According to the information, the country has set the amount of the state duty for issuing licenses for providing services in the circulation of crypto assets. Specifically, the amounts in BRV are as follows:

  • for cryptocurrency exchanges – 73,400 (27.525 billion soums);
  • for mining pools – 3,000 (1.125 billion soums);
  • for crypto depositories – 7,000 (2.625 billion soums);
  • for crypto stores – 3,700 (1.3875 billion soums).

These amounts are applicable at the time of payment.

It is worth noting that in Bukhara, a 17-year-old student, who earned nearly 34 billion dollars from cryptocurrency trading, had his earnings seized by law enforcement. The teenager now faces a penalty of up to five years in prison.
