New Year fairs have been launched in Tashkent featuring products at reduced prices, according to the press service of the capital's khokimiyat.

The city administration stated that the fairs were organized to ensure that residents and visitors of the capital can welcome the New Year with a bountiful table and in high spirits.

The fairs are being held at the following markets:

  • Yashnabad District — "Aviasonlar" market;
  • Yakkasaray District — "Askiya" market;
  • Chilonzor District — Chilonzor Dehkan market;
  • Mirabad District — Mirabad Dehkan market;
  • Mirzo-Ulugbek District — "Navruz" Dehkan market;
  • Yunusabad District — Alai Dehkan market;
  • Sergeli District — Sergeli Dehkan market;
  • Uchtepa District — Farhard Dehkan market;
  • Shaykhantahur District — "Eski Juva" Dehkan market;
  • Yunusabad District — Yunusabad Dehkan market;
  • Bektemir District — "Kuylyuk" Dehkan market;
  • Almazar District — "Karakamysh" Dehkan market.

It was previously reported that supermarkets were instructed not to inflate prices ahead of the New Year. The Consumer Rights Protection Committee met with representatives from Korzinka, Makro, and Havas.
